Tamil Nadu BJP leader H Raja to head 6-member committee in Annamalai's absence

BJP leader and national executive committee member H Raja was appointed the convener of a 6-member committee, during the absence of the state party president K Annamalai, to lead the party in Tamil Nadu.

Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], August 31 (ANI): BJP leader and national executive committee member H Raja was appointed the convener of a 6-member committee, during the absence of the state party president K Annamalai, to lead the party in Tamil Nadu.
The 6-member committee was appointed by BJP President JP Nadda to lead the party in the state. "All India President of BJP has appointed a 6-member committee under my convenorship which will lead the party in Tamil Nadu," said H Raja, speaking to ANI.
He further expressed confidence in the committee to perform according to the expectations of the party leadership "I am confident that this committee would perform according to the expectations of the leadership," he added.
The coordination committee has been appointed in the absence of the state party president K Annamalai, who is on a three-month educational training programme in the UK from September, according to a statement released by BJP.
Other members of the committee are M Chakravarthy, Professor P Kanagasabapathi, M Mruganandam, Professor Raama Sreenivasan and S R Sekhar.
The coordination committee will discuss with the state core committee and make any decisions about the party's activities.
Former Governor of Telangana Tamilisai Soundarajan also congratulated H Raja for the appointment in a post on X. While sharing the appointment letter for the committee on the post, the former Governor spoke on the spirit of working together to 'restore' Tamil Nadu in the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"I would like to convey my heartiest congratulations to the coordinating committee headed by Mr. H. Raja, who has been appointed to manage the Tamil Nadu BJP. Let's work together, and create a record. Let us restore Tamil Nadu in the way shown by Hon'ble Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi", she said in the post. (ANI)
