Tamil Nadu: 77-year-old holds eight post-graduation degrees, currently pursuing MA in Criminology

Thoothukudi (Tamil Nadu) [India], October 11 (ANI): A 77-year-old man named Ganesan, belonging to Tamil Nadu's Thothukudi district, holds eight post-graduation degrees including a Master in Human Rights, Tamil, Sociology, Economics, History, Politics, Public Relations, and Management.
At present, the man is pursuing a master's in Criminology.
"I had cleared my matriculation in 1966. In 1973, I started working as a labourer at a factory in Thoothukudi. I retired in 2004. After four years, I thought of pursuing law. So, I joined B.A. in Sociology and cleared it in 2011", Ganesan said while speaking to ANI.
"Again, I pursued an M.A. in Sociology. I wanted to become a lawyer so I applied for it. However, my application was rejected by the university as I was not eligible for it given that I had not pursued my intermediate. Later, I applied for the intermediate and cleared it. Again, I tried pursuing law but my applications kept getting rejected owing to certain reasons", he added.
Ganesan further said that he had later changed his mind and kickstarted an M.A. in History.
"I changed my mind and started studying for an M.A. in History, thereafter, Politics, Public Relations, and Management", Ganesan told ANI.
"I have obtained eight post-graduate degrees such as an M.A. in Human Rights, an M.A. in Social Work, an M.A. in Tamil, M.A. in Economics and am currently studying Criminology," he further said. (ANI)
