SWAGAT, led by CM Bhupendra Patel, rescheduled to Monday

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Thursday personally heard public representations during the January 2026 State SWAGAT and issued clear, time-bound directions to district administrations for speedy, citizen-centric resolution of grievances, including issues related to illegal constructions, encroachments on public roads and drainage channels, and obstructions affecting inter-village road connectivity.

The Collector added, "There were many things highlighted during the hearing; it also mentions different places and different routes. That is why I am saying not to make any interpretation, wait for the order. The further arrangements will be made in accordance with the law only after sitting with all parties and understanding the order."

The State SWAGAT online public grievance redressal programme, organised every month and chaired by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, will be held on Thursday in Gandhinagar.

To bridge the gap between citizens and the government by making maximum use of the potential of technology, the then Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi launched the SWAGAT (State Wide Attention on Grievances by Application of Technology) programme on April 24, 2003.

Celebrating 22 years of transformative governance, the SWAGAT programme continues to redefine how citizens interact with the state. Originally launched by then-CM Narendra Modi in 2003, the platform has achieved a staggering 99.10% resolution rate.
