Congress MLA Qazi Mohd. Nizamuddin from Manglaur in Haridwar district has written a letter to the Director General of Police of Uttarakhand on Thursday, expressing concern over recent incidents of violence allegedly occurring based on religion in the state. He cited cases such as the mistreatment of a Muslim man offering prayers in a field and the assault of a truck driver in Haridwar.

The court granted bail to the accused, namely Mohammed Imran, Mohammed Adnan, Adnan, Mohammed Naved, Mohammed Ubaidullah, Amir Hamza, Mohammed Aadil, Sameer Hussain, Mohammed Athar, Mohammed Kaif, Mohammed Kashif, and Mohammed Areeb, on a bail bond of Rs 50000 and a surety bond in the same amount.

Upholding the High Court's ruling, the apex court held that Muslims are entitled to offer prayers at the Sikandar Badusha Avuliya Dargah only on the occasions of Ramzan and Bakri-Id, and not on a daily basis.
