"Startup Conclave 2025 empowers youth innovation to transform agriculture, healthcare, and environment," says DY CM Shinde

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 21 (ANI): Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday said that the Startup Conclave 2025, held in Mumbai, provides an important platform for young innovators to showcase their ideas. He emphasised that the conclave, aligned with Prime Minister Modi's Startup India initiative, plays a crucial role in encouraging youth participation and innovation.
Shinde highlighted the event's potential to drive progress in key sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, and pollution control, underlining the transformative impact these ideas can have on India's development.
Speaking to media reporters, Shinde said,"Startup Conclave 2025 was organised in Mumbai...PM Modi has given a priority to Startup India...This is a big platform for the youth to share their innovative ideas...These ideas will play a big role in the development of India...India will become the leading nation in startups..."
Shinde added that the conclave gathers youth from across sectors with ideas that can advance agriculture, healthcare, and environmental solutions. "All youth are here. We have come here to share our new innovative ideas. CSIR has provided a big platform to them. This will help the country progress. Farmers will benefit in farming, pollution will be reduced, and remote healthcare solutions are also being explored," he said.
CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography (CSIR-NIO), CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-NEERI) and CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory (CSIR-NCL)--are jointly organising this flagship event from 20th-21st May, 2025,at the NESCO Centre, Goregaon (East), Mumbai, Maharashtra.
The Conclave is expected to convene over 800 attendees, including more than 70 CSIR-incubated start-ups, leading industry partners, investors, academic institutions, and representatives from government bodies.
Amidst the unparalleled expansion of India's innovation ecosystem, the CSIR Start-up Conclave will showcase breakthrough innovations in marine robotics, bio-manufacturing and environmental engineering. This platform will not only highlight cutting-edge CSIR technologies but also foster collaborations that transform ideas into scalable enterprises.
The main objective of the event is to create a platform for discussing the technologies developed by CSIR and how startups can leverage these innovations, as well as to disseminate this information to the wider public.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has envisioned transforming India into a developed nation by 2047. The role of the startup ecosystem and technology will be crucial in realising this vision. (ANI)
