Srinagar: Power lines damaged due to snowfall being restored

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Dec 13 (ANI): As Srinagar has been receiving continuous snowfall, Development Commissioner Shahid Chaudhary on Friday said power lines were damaged in minor incidents and are being restored.

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Dec 13 (ANI): As Srinagar has been receiving continuous snowfall, Development Commissioner Shahid Chaudhary on Friday said power lines were damaged in minor incidents and are being restored.
"It's been snowing since morning and all the concerned departments are at work. Technical snags are being repaired. The power lines that have been damaged in minor incidents are also being restored. Though the services at hospitals are available," Chaudhary told ANI.
Meanwhile, in Himachal Pradesh area around Prashar Lake in Mandi has been covered in snow following heavy snowfall in the region.
Earlier in the day, the continuous snowfall caused huge traffic problems for people residing in Kinnaur district as the roads have been blocked in several areas due to weather conditions.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are very likely to receive heavy rain and snowfall today.
Besides, heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over Punjab, North Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal. (ANI)
