Agartala (Tripura ) [India], July 10 (ANI): Union Minister of State for Tourism, Suresh Gopi, has said that spiritual and adventure tourism will be in its newest shape in the coming days. He said this after chairing a review meeting with Tripura tourism department officials.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while giving interviews to two Malayalam channels, focused on two main modules. He said that India tourism means Kerala. By this, he tried to say that the substance of Kerala tourism or the elements involved in it are the factors that he is looking up to. That is an indicator for me. I think all these elements should be exercised by the whole country for better results in the field of tourism. And also, spiritual tourism and adventure tourism will be implemented in the newest shape," Gopi told reporters.
On the ongoing projects, he said, "There are projects that are under progress that need enhanced allocations. I will take up with the cabinet chief and I hope all these things will be taken care of."
When asked about the new plans, he said, "Discussions took place on many excellent ideas but to get those ideas implemented in reality may take time. Because it has to go to the cabinet, and only after approval could these thoughts be institutionalised."
Tripura Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, who attended the meeting, said, "We had a very detailed discussion on the ongoing projects in the presence of the Director of Tourism and Secretary of the departments and other higher officials." (ANI)
