New Delhi [India], October 13 (ANI): Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Friday hinted that Rahul Gandhi's elevation as party chief 'will be done soon'.

Sonia Gandhi made this statement on the sidelines of the launch of former President Pranab Mukherjee's autobiography, when she was asked about the same.

While speaking to the reporters here, "You have been asking this for so many years and it's now happening".

Rahul Gandhi's elevation as the Congress has been expected for a while now.

Several Congress leaders have directly or indirectly indicated that Rahul would soon take over the party.

State units of the Congress party have already begun passing resolutions supporting Rahul Gandhi's elevation to the president's post. (ANI)
