"SIR is huge election scam": AAP's Sanjay Singh slams ECI, alleges election scam

New Delhi [India], August 8 (ANI): Terming the Special Intensive Revision in Bihar as a "huge election scam", Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh on Friday slammed the Election Commission of India and the Central Government.
Singh accused the ruling side of tampering with the election process, alleging that the opposition's concerns will be ignored in Parliament.
He also made claims about dogs receiving residential certificates and US President Donald Trump's election card being made in Bihar, suggesting a deep-seated issue with the electoral system.
"The ruling side will tamper with the election process, and the opposition won't say a thing and there will be no discussion in Parliament?...Dogs are getting residential certificates, Donald Trump's election card has been made in Bihar. SIR is a huge election scam," Sanjay Singh told ANI.
This comes after Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi slammed the Election Commission of India (ECI) and alleged that the elections are "choreographed". Presenting Congress's research on voting in the Mahadevapura Assembly in Karnataka, Gandhi alleged "vote chori" (vote theft) of 1,00,250 votes.
Earlier, addressing a press conference, Rahul Gandhi said that Congress won other seats while the BJP swept Mahadevapura.
"Elections are choreographed... Our internal polling told us we would win 16 seats in Karnataka; we won nine. We then focused on seven unexpected losses. We chose one Lok Sabha, and our team decided we could only focus on one Vidhan Sabha (seat). So we focused on Mahadevapur. Here is the broad math. All data is 2024 data from the Election Commission. Total votes polled in the Lok Sabha were 6.26 lakhs. The BJP won with 6,58,915, securing a margin of 32,707. But then we look at Mahadevapura, where Congress polls 1,15,586 and BJP polls 2,29,632. Congress wins all Vidhan Sabhas but this one. This seat wins them the election," Rahul Gandhi said.
"We found 1,00,250 votes stolen. Stolen in five different ways. Duplicate voters, fake and invalid addresses, and bulk voters in a single address, on a building with 50-60 people living. But when we go there, no record of those people living there. One family living in that house," Rahul Gandhi alleged.
"Invalid photos...Then the misuse of Form 6. Form 6 allows new people to become voters," he added.
Replying to Rahul Gandhi's allegations, the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Friday asked Congress MP Rahul Gandhi to sign the declaration by the Chief Electoral Officers of Maharashtra and Karnataka or apologise for his "absurd" allegations, sources said.
ECI sources said, "If Rahul Gandhi believes in his analysis and believes that his allegations against ECI are true, he should have no problem in signing the Declaration."
ECI asked Rahul Gandhi to apologise if he does not sign the affidavits.
"If Rahul Gandhi does not sign the Declaration, it would mean that he does not believe in his analysis and resultant conclusions and absurd allegations. In which case, he should apologise to the nation. Therefore, he has two options: Either sign the Declaration or apologise to the Nation for raising absurd allegations against ECI," sources said. (ANI)
