Sheena Bora murder case: Indrani Mukerjea's bail plea rejected

The Assam State BJP has expressed deep concern over the developments surrounding the recent visit of President Droupadi Murmu to West Bengal on March 7, to attend the 9th International Santhal Conference.

Assam Minister and Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) president Atul Bora on Thursday said that seat-sharing talks with the BJP are underway, with discussions held with the Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and BJP representatives. A formal announcement is expected soon.

According to an official release, the list includes Gaurav Gogoi (Jorhat), Bitupan Saikia (Golaghat), Abdus Sobahan Ali Sarkar from Gauripur, Markline Marak from Goalpara West (ST), Girish Baruah from Bongaigaon, Mahananda Sarkar from Barpeta (SC), and Ramen Singh Rabha from Boko-Chaygaon (ST).

Assam Agriculture Minister Atul Bora on Monday flagged off the first export of GI-tagged Karbi Anglong Ginger to London during a programme held at Krishi Bhawan, Khanapara in Guwahati.

Speaking to ANI on the Iran-Israel conflict, retired Air Marshal Kapoor said, "This was building up for the last about six months or so. The Iranian public has come on streets in January asking for regime change because of very high inflation in Iran."
