Jind (Haryana) [India], December 13 (ANI): Mother of Neelam on Wednesday said that her daughter, who was detained for protesting with gas canisters outside Parliament, was worried about her being jobless.
Delhi Police detained Neelam (42), a resident of Jind, and 25-year-old Amol after they protested outside the Parliament in front of Transport Bhawan using gas canisters that emitted yellow smoke.
Similarly, in another incident, two men-- Sagar and Manoranjan-- jumped into the Lok Sabha Chamber from the visitor's gallery, causing a huge security breach on the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament attack. However, they were overpowered by MPs and detained later.
Neelam, while being taken away by Delhi Police officials, said that she is unemployed.
"...Because we are unemployed, our parents work so much, are labourers, farmers, small traders, shopkeepers, but no one's voices are being heard," Neelam could be heard saying while being detained.
"...She was worried about unemployment...I had spoken with her but she never told me anything about Delhi. She used to tell me that she is so highly qualified but has no job, so it is better to die," Neelam's mother said.
Meanwhile, Delhi Police sources said that Neelam and Amol in preliminary investigations have revealed that all four people and one unidentified fifth person came from outside the national capital and stayed at the residence of a man in Gurugram.
"A manhunt has been launched to nab the remaining two," the sources added.
Earlier in the day, senior officials of the Intelligence Bureau visited the new Parliament building, where the major security breach happened. (ANI)
