Seven of family killed in car accident in Telangana's Medak; CM expresses grief

Seven people were killed, including three women and three teenage girls after a car they were travelling in met with an accident near Shivampet mandal of Medak district in Telangana on Wednesday evening, according to Superintendent of Police Medak district.

Medak (Telangana) [India], October 16 (ANI): Seven people were killed, including three women and three teenage girls after a car they were travelling in met with an accident near Shivampet mandal of Medak district in Telangana on Wednesday evening, according to Superintendent of Police Medak district.
Police said that the victims were enroute to their native place from Siddipet when the driver of the car lost control and rammed into a roadside wall and the vehicle plummeted into a water pit. The incident took place at around 4 PM. The girls who lost their lives in the accident were aged 12, 13, and 15 years.
"A car driving rashly hit a roadside wall and fell into the water pit. The incident happened around 4 pm. They were traveling from Siddipet to their village. The bodies have been taken out and shifted to the hospital. Seven people died including 3 ladies, 3 girls aged 12,13 and 15 years, and one male person. The case is registered at Shivampet police station," said the Superintendent of Police.
Chief Minister Reddy expressed grief over the loss of lives in the accident. "It is sad to lose seven lives belonging to the same family," he said.
The Chief Minister directed officials to provide the injured with the best medical treatment and necessary assistance. He also extended his condolences to the family members of the deceased.
The incident has been registered at Shivampet Police Station, and further investigation is underway. (ANI)
