Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], October 2 (ANI): North Western Railway CPRO Captain Shashi Kiran on Wednesday confirmed that the station superintendent at Hanumangarh received a bomb threat letter on the previous day.

In response, police conducted a thorough inspection of the railway station but reported finding no suspicious materials.
"Yesterday, the station superintendent of Hanumangarh received a bomb threat letter. Police carried out the inspection of the Hanumangarh railway station and no suspicious material was found. Security has been increased at all the railway stations. An FIR has been lodged against unknown persons," North Western Railway CPRO Captain Shashi Kiran said while speaking to ANI.

The Hanumangarh Railway Station received a bomb threat on October 1, in a letter found in a yellow envelope, prompting immediate action from local authorities, according to information provided by Hanumangarh SSP Pyarelal Meena.

The letter threatened to bomb multiple railway stations, including Shri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Kota, Bundi, Udaipur City, and Jaipur, on October 30, stating that revenge would be taken for the deaths of jihadists in Jammu and Kashmir.

In response to the threat, Additional SP Pyarelal, Inspector Santlal, and GRP SHO Mohanlal, along with their teams, conducted a thorough inspection of the Hanumangarh area and platforms. Their efforts yielded no suspicious items.

A case has been registered against unknown individuals at the GRP station. ASP Pyarelal Meena confirmed the incident, ensuring that security measures are in place to safeguard the public.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely as investigations are underway. (ANI)
