Schools, colleges to be closed due to heavy rains in Puducherry, Karaikal

The Delhi High Court on Thursday issued notice on a petition challenging orders that prohibit public meetings and protests within the Delhi University campus. The court has sought responses from Delhi University, Delhi Police, and concerned colleges regarding the restrictions imposed earlier this year.

Sibal also criticised the administration for a perceived lack of long-term planning and foresight regarding India's heavy import dependency and potential supply vulnerabilities in the face of geopolitical instability.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday highlighted the government's commitment to strengthening India's healthcare system as part of the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.

The committee was constituted under the leadership of MP and PCC President Ve Vaithilingam and includes former Chief Minister V Narayanasamy, CLP Leader M Vaithiyanathan, senior vice president and AICC coordinator PK Devadoss, former ministers M Kandasamy, MOHF Shahjahan, and former government Whip and PCC vice president RKR Anantharaman.

Speaking to ANI, Bommai said that even after taking loans worth Rs 1.32 lakh crore and imposing an additional tax burden of Rs 25,000 crore, the budget still reflects a deficit of around Rs 32,000 crore.
