New Delhi [India], Nov. 3 (ANI): The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of apex court Secretary General Ravindra Maithani and two other judicial officers as judges of the Uttarakhand High Court.
The other two officers are Narayan Singh Dhanik and Ramesh Chandra Khulbe.
The decision to elevate the three judicial officers was made on the recommendation of the then Chief Justice of Uttarakhand High Court K M Joseph after three positions got vacated on May 29, 2018.
"Certain complaints against the recommendations made by the High Court Collegium and representations regarding non-recommendation of some senior Judicial Officers have been placed before us. Having gone through the justification given by the High Court Collegium in the Minutes of the meeting held on May 29, 2018, for recommending the three names, we do not find any substance therein," read the statement of the Collegium.
