Saudi FM meets PM Modi, briefs him on follow ups of post-MBS visit

New Delhi [India], Mar 11 (ANI): Saudi Arabia Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al Jubeir on Monday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and briefed him about "the follow up of the outcomes of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman’s historic visit to India last month."

New Delhi [India], Mar 11 (ANI): Saudi Arabia Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al Jubeir on Monday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and briefed him about "the follow up of the outcomes of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman’s historic visit to India last month."  
During their meeting, the two leaders also agreed to work together for "irreversible, verifiable and credible steps against all terrorists without any discrimination."
According to a statement released by the Ministry of External Affairs, the Saudi Foreign Minister conveyed greetings of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) to Prime Minister Modi, who in return also reciprocated the wishes warmly.
Prime Minister Modi thanked the leadership of Saudi Arabia for expressing full solidarity with India in the fight against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, the statement read.
India and Saudi Arabia have taken significant steps including to boost trade and investment and to achieve US $100 billion investments from Saudi Arabia into India, which was announced during the visit of the Saudi Crown Prince, the statement said.
Later in the day, Foreign Minister Jubeir held discussions with his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj on the entire gamut of bilateral relations.
Both Jubeir and Swaraj took note of significant developments after the visit of the Saudi Crown Prince to India.
During the meeting, Swaraj reiterated that an immediate irreversible and verifiable action to dismantle terror infrastructure is essential to fight the menace of terror, the statement read.
It was further agreed to set up the Strategic Partnership Council at the earliest. The gesture from the Saudi side to increase the Hajj Quota to 2,00,000 and Royal pardon to 850 Indian Prisoners was highly appreciated, the statement added.
India and Saudi Arabia enjoy warm, close and multifaceted relations underpinned by historical, cultural, religious and economic linkages which stand elevated to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Saudi Arabia is India’s fourth largest trading partner and second largest supplier of our crude oil needs. 
Saudi Prince Salman visited both India and Pakistan last month. In his bilateral talks with Indian Prime Minister Modi, the former described terrorism as a ‘common concern.’ (ANI)
