Sanjay Seth takes charge as Minister of State, Defence

Sanjay Seth on Tuesday assumed charge as Minister of State in the Ministry of Defence.

New Delhi [India], June 11 (ANI): Sanjay Seth on Tuesday assumed charge as Minister of State in the Ministry of Defence.
He was received by Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane and other senior officials of the Ministry, an official statement said.
In his remarks, Sanjay Seth expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for entrusting him with this significant responsibility. He also conveyed his enthusiasm about working under the guidance of Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh, with whom he has previously collaborated in various capacities. Shri Seth pledged to advance several Ministry of Defence initiatives aimed at bolstering national security.
Prior to assuming charge, Sanjay Seth called on Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh at his official residence in New Delhi.
CDS Gen Anil Chauhan, COAS Gen Manoj Pande, CAS Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari & CNS Admiral Dinesh Tripathi called on the new Raksha Rajya Mantri Sanjay Seth in New Delhi today.
Sanjay Seth is a two-term Member of Parliament representing the Ranchi Lok Sabha constituency, having been elected in 2019. During his tenure, he served on the Standing Committee on Information Technology and the Committee on Welfare of Other Backward Classes.
Additionally, from 2016 to 2019, he held the position of Chairman of the Jharkhand State Khadi and Village Industries Board. (ANI)
