Sadhvi Rithambara ties 'Rakhi' to Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan

New Delhi [India], August 19 (ANI): Founder of Param Shakti Peeth and Vatsalyagram, Sadhvi Rithambara, tied rakhi to Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Raksha Bandhan on Monday in Delhi.

The Union Education Minister also celebrated the festival with sisters of Samvid Gurukulam Girls Sainik School, Vatsalyagram.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also celebrated the festive occasion with President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhawan earlier in the day.
"Shri@jayantrldand I accompanied students from across the country to the Rashtrapati Bhawan to celebrate Raksha Bandhan with Hon'ble President Droupadi Murmu. Grateful to Rashtrapati ji for blessing and guiding our students and making this Raksha Bandhan a special one for our young friends," posted Dharmendra Pradhan on X.
Sadhvi Rithambara also tied rakhi to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan on Monday in Delhi.
Meanwhile, in Kolkata, people from the transgender community tied rakhi to West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose on the auspicious occasion.
Earlier today, Rajnath Singh also celebrated Raksha Bandhan with Usha Rana from Rashtriya Sainik Sansthan and students from Samvid Gurukulam Girls Sainik School at his residence.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted people on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan and prayed for everyone's happiness and prosperity.
"Best wishes to all countrymen on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, a festival symbolising the immense love between brother and sister. May this holy festival bring new sweetness to the relationships of all of you and happiness, prosperity and good fortune in life," PM Modi posted on X.
President Droupadi Murmu also extended greetings on the festival that celebrates the bond between siblings.In a post on X, President Droupadi Murmu said, "On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all the countrymen. This festival, based on the feeling of love and mutual trust between brothers and sisters, instills a feeling of affection and respect towards all sisters and daughters."
Raksha Bandhan, commonly known as Rakhi, is a traditional Hindu festival dedicated to the love and bond between brothers and sisters.On this day, sisters tie a rakhi around their brothers' wrists. In return, brothers offer gifts as a symbol of love and care for their sisters.
Raksha Bandhan is a festival deeply rooted in Indian culture and has been celebrated for centuries. Incidents of sisters tying rakhi around their brothers' wrists for protection are mentioned in Hindu religious texts. (ANI)
