Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], September 1 (ANI): 'Saamna', the official newspaper of the Uddhav Thackeray faction in its editorial expressed concern over the spread of Coronavirus once again in the world as it has already started in America and Britain
The editorial said "Coronavirus has started spreading in America once again. Even the experts there have warned the American government and the public to be alert about the explosion of 'COVID-19'."
According to the information from the Health Control and Restriction Center there, the number of hospitalizations of Corona patients in America has increased by 24 percent in the three weeks of August.
"The spread of Covid is visible mainly in the states of the western and northeastern regions of America and due to this new wave of Corona, all the educational institutions, workplaces and local administrative services are facing serious consequences. However, the matter of relief is that patients who have been admitted to the hospital or are undergoing treatment are not showing serious symptoms of corona but the intensity of its spread is high, which is a matter of concern," said the editorial.
The summer camps held earlier have reportedly proved to be hot spots of Corona due to which this time the administration has ordered the schools to strictly follow restrictive rules of Corona.
With a new variant of Corona appearing in Britain as well, Corona has raised concerns in some other countries of the world also. The number of patients affected by the new variant is continuously increasing in Britain, said Saamna editorial.
According to the editorial, the new variant 'EG 5.1' has been named 'Eris'. The third-fourth wave of Corona came due to the 'Omicron' COVID-19 virus, 'Eris' is a mutation of the same Omicron.
"One out of seven corona victims in Britain has been found to be a victim of 'Eris'. Therefore, with the outbreak of 'Eris' spreading in other countries as well, there is a danger of a new wave of Corona. Recently, the World Health Organization (WHO) made a sensational disclosure about the coronavirus", it added.
While earlier the spread of the virus was happening through air and that too on close contact, now according to a revelation made by WHO, the danger of corona spreading through water is also visible, said the editorial.
It further added, "WHO had warned a few days back that a disease called 'Disease X' would prove to be a global pandemic in the future. This epidemic will come when it comes, but the question of when will we be free from the havoc of Corona is troubling the entire world and no one has the answer to it at present." (ANI)

In an 'X' post, TMC said the government has "ek hi naara, line mein rahe desh bechara," pointing to past governmental measures including demonetisation, the COVID-19 vaccine rollout, the Special Identification Registration (SIR), and now the LPG shortage. The party described demonetisation as a "Tughlaqi farman" that forced ordinary citizens to wait in serpentine queues outside banks and ATMs for days to access their own money. The post also highlighted the 2020 COVID-19 oxygen crisis, when families stood in long lines outside hospitals and suppliers as the public health system collapsed.
