RS adjourned till 2 pm after massive uproar

New Delhi [India], Mar 07 (ANI): The Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 2 pm on Wednesday following the Opposition's uproar on various issues.

Slogans were raised in the Parliament over vandalism of statues, Andhra Pradesh Special Category Status issue and Cauvery Management Board constitution.

The Opposition members trooped into the well raising slogans despite repeated appeals by Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu.

On Wednesday, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MPs staged a protest near the Mahatma Gandhi statue located in the parliament complex over their demand for a grant of "Special Category Status" for Andhra Pradesh.

No business was conducted in parliament on Monday and Tuesday in connection with the same issue. (ANI)
