Rs 96,000 worth fake notes recovered from Mumbai

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India] Oct 13 (ANI): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has recovered fake Indian Rupee notes with a face value of Rs. 96,000 in Mumbai on Friday.

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India] Oct 13 (ANI): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has recovered fake Indian Rupee notes with a face value of Rs. 96,000 in Mumbai on Friday.
The fake currency was seized from the possession of two persons, namely Saddam Salim Hawaldar and Fahad Naushad Chandiwala, residing at Vijay Bhavan Chawl and Gupta Chawl, respectively.
A total of 48 fake notes of Rs. 2,000 denomination were recovered by the NIA, which was investigating the matter after a tip-off of a possible fake currency deal in the area.
The case has been registered under Sections 489D and 489C of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). (ANI)
