Rehabilitation Policy for militant under review: Advisor to J and K Guv

Jammu [Jammu and Kashmir], Feb 6 (ANI): Vijay Kumar, advisor to the Jammu and Kashmir Governor on Tuesday stated that the Rehabilitation policy for militants is being reviewed.

Jammu [Jammu and Kashmir], Feb 6 (ANI): Vijay Kumar, advisor to the Jammu and Kashmir Governor on Tuesday stated that the Rehabilitation policy for militants is being reviewed.
Talking to reporters here, Kumar said: "The Governor has asked to review the policy with all seriousness. All top officers are in consultation, reviewing the policy and will be submitted to the Governor accordingly."
He further stated that on the advice of Governor Satya Pal Malik, the government is revisiting and reviewing the policy.
Stating that the surrender policy has already been there in various formats, Kumar said: "The governor has advised us to have a look at the policy and put up a draft."
Responding to a question about the policy, Kumar said: "I do not want to comment whether it is a rehash or a new policy. It will be looked at with all seriousness and already director general of police, the home secretary, chief secretary and myself are looking at it and we will be placing it before the governor," Kumar added.
