Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], August 31 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Saturday announced that the next Regional Industry Conclave will be held in Sagar on September 27.
CM Yadav made the announcement while addressing 'International Bundeli Samagam - 2024' at the Tribal Museum, in Bhopal on Saturday. The Chief Minister also honoured various talents of the Bundelkhand region on the occasion.
"The Regional Industry Conclave in Sagar on September 27 will play a pivotal role in enriching Bundelkhand. The Conclave is not just a platform for progress in a single district or division, but a significant initiative aimed at uplifting the surrounding areas as well. This effort will lead the region towards diverse dimensions of development. Bundelkhand, celebrated for its bravery and valour, is set to embark on a new path of prosperity," CM said.
He also praised Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi and Rani Durgavati, symbols of bravery in Bundelkhand and the Mahakaushal region, for their valour in numerous battles despite limited resources. He also highlighted the enduring legacy of Maharaja Chhatrasal and other Bundelkhand warriors, who consistently exemplified bravery throughout history.
The CM further emphasised Bundelkhand's rich heritage, noting that the charm of the Bundeli language and its cultural traditions are gaining recognition both nationally and internationally. He affirmed that the Madhya Pradesh government is committed to advancing the region's development and enhancing its prestige.
"The Regional Industry Conclave in Sagar will attract experts and representatives from various industry sectors both nationally and internationally, alongside participants from different regions of the state. This underscores the conclave's significance on both regional and global scales," CM Yadav said.
He further highlighted that the policy of offering "special incentives for employment to youth and women" has been introduced for the IT and textile sectors.
The state government is committed to supporting these industrial units to ensure they thrive and create job opportunities for youth and women. Additionally, new industrial units will be established in the health, mineral, and tourism sectors, he added.
The Regional Industry Conclaves are being held as a pre-event of the "Invest Madhya Pradesh-Global Investor Summit-2025".
GIS-2025 is proposed to be organised in Bhopal on February 7 and 8 next year. The main objective of the GIS-2025 Summit is to establish Madhya Pradesh as a favourable investment destination and to include it among the leading states of the country by highlighting the capabilities, abundant resources and favourable industrial environment of the state.
The first event in the series of Regional Industry Conclave was organised in Ujjain on March 1 and 2 this year. Later, the conclave was held in Jabalpur last month on July 20 and recently in Gwalior on August 28. (ANI)
