Bolstering the Government of India's push to institutionalise cleanliness and curb official pendency, the Ministry of Power and its associated entities, including autonomous bodies and Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs), have been actively driving the Special Campaigns since 2021, officials said.

Public Accounts Committee chairperson KC Venugopal on Thursday said that the panel is examining “serious lapses by Railways” relating to passenger amenities that were found during the audit and noted that a meeting will be called again with Railway Ministry officials after a month to see if the shortcoming related to drinking water had been addressed.

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is expected to make its new headquarters in the national capital operational by the end of December this year, with major construction work on the 2.23-acre site nearing completion.
