Ranchi girl heaves a sigh of relief after returning home from Israel

Amid the Israel-Hamas war in the Gaza strip, which has claimed thousands of lives on both sides including civilians, a PhD student from Ranchi Vineeta Ghosh, stranded in Israel was evacuated to her home in Ranchi on Saturday.

Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], October 14 (ANI): Amid the Israel-Hamas war in the Gaza strip, which has claimed thousands of lives on both sides including civilians, a PhD student from Ranchi Vineeta Ghosh, stranded in Israel was evacuated to her home in Ranchi on Saturday.
Ghosh, who was stuck in Tel Aviv, Israel, heaved a sigh of relief as her parents came to receive her at Ranchi airport. JMM MP Mahua Maji was also present at the airport.
Speaking to ANI Vineeta Ghosh said, "The Indian Embassy in Israel there is very cooperative. They helped us in all possible ways. Everyone is happy about returning back to home. My parents were very tense. Today some of my other stranded friends are also returning. The Indian Government is conducting the operation very smoothly. Today I am relieved to meet the family."
Vineeta Ghosh's father Vishwajit Ghosh said that she was in a high-security zone in Israel and there was a war going on.
He said, "Vineeta is happy to come back today. I think she will recover from the ordeal in a day or two. My daughter was involved in PhD research work in Israel, her work was going very well. War is not a solution. I am relieved.
JMM MP Mahua Maji, who came to receive Vineeta Ghosh at the airport, said that today was a happy day, her parents were very worried and everyone else was very worried as there was a war going on in the country.
JMM MP Mahua Maji said, "It is a very happy day. Her parents were very tense. They called me. I contacted the Ministry of External Affairs and sent details. It is a matter of happiness that she has returned. I would request the Government of India and the State Government to build such schools and colleges for higher education in the country and also in Jharkhand so that people do not go out."
The Indian embassy in Israel is providing assistance to Indian companies and has set up a helpline for Indian citizens in need of assistance. The MEA has set up a 24-hour control room in view of the escalating conflict. The control room will help monitor the situation and provide information and assistance. (ANI)
