Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], September 20 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh on Wednesday expressed his grief over the death of two pilgrims who died in a road accident in Assam.

Raman Singh expresses grief over death of pilgrims in Assam

Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], September 20 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh on Wednesday expressed his grief over the death of two pilgrims who died in a road accident in Assam.

The incident took place when the pilgrims were returning from Guwahati's Kamakhya Temple.

Earlier in the day, Raman Singh also had a telephonic conversation with Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, requesting him to help and assist his pilgrims who are still in Assam.

Meanwhile, Sonowal further assured all possible help and assistance to his state people.

The Kamakhya Temple organizes a four-day annual Ambubachi Mela; where pilgrims thong the temple from different parts of the country. (ANI)
