Raman Singh enquires about health of Mukhyamantri Bal Hriday Yojna beneficiaries

Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India] Sept 29 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh on the occasion of World Heart Day talked over phone to the parents of those children whose heart ailments were cured under the Mukhyamantri Bal Hriday Yojna (Chief Minister Child Heart Scheme).

The scheme has returned happiness in the lives of many poor who couldn't afford the treatment of their children's heart ailment.

The Chief Minister on Friday enquired about the health and education of those children who underwent successful heart surgeries between last two to eight years under the scheme.

Durg resident Amrit Yadav, a vegetable seller, couldn't believe his ears when he received a call from Dr. Raman Singh.

The Chief Minister told him that today is the World Heart Day and he is enquiring about health and education of the beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Bal Hriday Yojna. Raman Singh enquired about Sagar. Amrit expressed gratitude and said now Sagar plays like a normal child and the credit goes to the Bal Hriday Yojna as he wasn't capable of bearing the cost of the required treatment.

Bemtara district's Murta village resident Sheetal Sahu told Raman Singh that his daughter Mansi is now three-year-old and is active like other children of her age. Mansi underwent heart surgery when she was six-month-old.

Sahu and his wife are daily wage labourers and couldn't afford the treatment. The Chief Minister's scheme proved to be a boon for them. They now plan to send Mansi to school.

The Chief Minister also enquired about health of Ashutosh from his father Shyam Bihari, who is a resident of village Gorakhpur Basti Kalari in Surajpur district.

Ashutosh, who is now 12-year-old, underwent heart surgery when he was four-year-old under Mukhyamantri Bal Hriday Yojna at Balaji Hospital. Shyam Bihari is a constable in 10th Battalion in Silfili. The Chief Minister asked Shyam Bihari to educate Ashotosh well enough so that he becomes an officer.

Jagdalpur resident Mohd. Nyeem Khan, a petty contractor, told Dr. Raman Singh over phone that his daughter Afreen Nisa's heart ailment was successfully operated at Raipur's Escorts Hospital when she was two-year-old.

Nyeem's wife got emotional after talking to the Chief Minister. She told Raman Singh to give his blessings to Afreen. The Chief Minister said his blessings would always remain with Afreen and told them to remain focused on Afreen's education. The couple expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Minister. (ANI)
