Upendra Kushwaha

Motihari (Bihar) [India], Dec 6 (ANI): Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLSP) president and Union Minister of State Upendra Kushwaha on Thursday lashed out at the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government and the Centre and called the ongoing issue of Ram Temple a political 'jumla'.
"Since Lok Sabha elections are now just months away, they have started talking about the construction of Ram Temple. It's not the job of a political party to make a temple or Masjid. Ram Temple is a political 'jumla'. We are opposing this move of the Centre. They should stop doing politics in the name of Ram Temple," Kushwaha said here.
Criticising the Bihar government, Kushwaha said, "We will remove the Nitish Kumar-led state government soon. The BJP people in Bihar are real 'jumla'"
The Babri Masjid, built by Mughal emperor Babur in 1578 in Ayodhya, was on December 6, 1992, pulled down allegedly by a group of Hindu activists, claiming that the mosque was constructed after demolishing a Ram Temple. Since then several hearings have been held in the top court to resolve the issue.
The Supreme Court in October adjourned the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit till January 2019 to fix the date of hearing in the matter. (ANI)
