Rajnath takes dig at Congress for ignoring PM Modi's role in Gujarat

Mahudha (Gujarat) [India] Dec. 01 (ANI): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday took a dig at the Congress party for not recognising Prime Minister Narendra Modi's role in making Gujarat famous in the world.

Addressing a rally here, Rajnath said, "Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel brought glory to name of Gujarat. In independent India if there is a person who made Gujarat famous in each corner of world, it's Narendra Modi. I want to ask my friends of Congress, do they have problem in accepting it?" said Rajnath Singh.

Talking about the achievements of the Prime Minister Modi led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government, the Union Home Minister said, "Our neighbour Pakistan sporadically creates nuisance on the borders, but the morale of our soldiers is so high that they have been eliminating 2,4,5,6,7 terrorists daily."

In the view of Assembly elections in Gujarat, both BJP and Congress have been targeting each other to form next government in the state.

Gujarat has a total number of 182 assembly seats and the polling will be held in two phases. Voting in 89 constituencies of Saurashtra and South Gujarat region will be held in the first phase while the remaining 93 constituencies in central and northern regions will be held in the second phase. The votes will be counted on December 18. (ANI)
