Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], December 9 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated and addressed the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit which is being held in Jaipur from December 9 to 11.
Addressing the gathering, PM Modi said that Rajasthan was not only rising but also reliable, receptive and knew how to refine itself.
"Rajasthan is not only rising but also reliable, receptive and knows how to refine itself. In a very less time, the Rajasthan Chief minister has made tremendous efforts for the state. The rise of the state can only be made better by realizing it's true potential. The state is abundant in resources right from road to railways, making it an attractive destination for investment." the Prime Minister said.
Further, he added that despite Covid-19, India's tourism sector had set a high bar and the tourism schemes had also proved beneficial for Rajasthan.
"Despite Covid-19, India has boosted its tourism sector. Today, India's domestic tourism is also setting the bars high and India's tourism schemes are beneficial for Rajasthan...Rajasthan today is the leading state in tourism across the country and attracts a large number of tourists. I have appealed to the countrymen for the 'Wed in India' scheme which will benefit Rajasthan, the state has a lot of potential in the tourism sector." the PM added.
Speaking on the manufacturing sector of the country, the PM said that through the Make in India programme, the country had focused on low cost manufacturing which was benefitting the world.
"India through it's Make in India program is focusing on low cost manufacturing, which is benefitting the world today... An approximate of Rs 84,000 crore worth exports have been made from Rajasthan The PLI scheme plays an important role in increasing the manufacturing of the goods in the country. Investors should explore the manufacturing sector of Rajasthan which has a lot of scope. The MSME policy brought in by the government has also strengthened the country..." Modi said.
He concluded by appealing to the people to explore Rajasthan which could help the state progress.
"I appeal to people to explore Rajasthan, in all its sectors, from tourism to manufacturing, from food to the culture. The state has a great potential and will set new bars of development." the PM concluded. (ANI)
