Rajasthan: Fire breaks out in Sriganganagar cow shed

A massive fire broke out in a cow shed in Gajsinghpur area of the Sriganganagar district of Rajasthan on Friday night. Upon receiving the information, the police administration along with several fire tenders reached to the spot and the operation to douse the fire is still underway. There were approximately 600 cows in the cow shed and all of them have been evacuated to the safer places.

Sriganganagar (Rajasthan) [India], June 1 (ANI): Authorities continued efforts on Saturday to douse a fire that broke out in a cow shed in Gajsinghpur area of the Sriganganagar district of Rajasthan last night.
Upon receiving the information, the police administration along with several fire tenders reached to the spot and the operation to douse the fire.
There were approximately 600 cows in the cow shed and all of them have been evacuated to safer places, officials said.
The cause of the fire has not yet been ascertained.
Banwari Lal Chaudhary, Tehsildar of Gajsinghpur said, "The fire broke out at night. As soon as the incident occurred, the police team with fire tender immediately reached to the spot. All the cows were evacuated and sent to the safer places."
He said, "We hope that the fire will be doused by the evening of Saturday. Investigations are underway as the reason for the fire is still unknown."
Due to the soaring temperatures and intense heatwaves, various cases of fire have been reported from different parts of the country.
Three cases of fire were reported today.
A fire broke out in a building in Mumbai's Tardeo area in the early hours of Saturday while a parked ambulance in Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur caught fire today.
A fire also broke out at the Dingu Forest of Himachal Pradesh's Bilaspur. The exact reason for the fire could not be ascertained yet.
Notably, Himachal Pradesh has recorded 1,033 forest fire incidents in the state since the onset of summer, with over 9,500 hectares of land being burnt so far nearly in the past 44 days, official data reveals.
The High Court of Himachal Pradesh has taken a suo moto cognisance of the forest fire incidents in the state.
Nearly 25 forest areas are still under the grip of forest fire, the department is initiating measures to control the incidents. (ANI)
