Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma participates in "Ek Ped Maa ke Naam" campaign in Chittorgarh

Chittorgarh (Rajasthan) [India], September 19 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Thursday participated in the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" campaign in Chittorgarh.
"Our government has planted 2 crore saplings in one day. Our government will plant 50 crore saplings in the coming 5 years," added the Rajasthan CM.
The 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign was inaugurated by PM Modi on June 5, World Environment Day this year.
Under this campaign, he urged people to plant a sapling in the upcoming days as a tribute to their mothers. He also requested participants to share a picture of themselves planting the sapling using the hashtags #Plant4Mother.
The PM highlighted the need to protect the environment and shared his tree-planting experience, encouraging others to follow suit.
PM Modi further highlighted the collective efforts made by India over the past decade, which have increased the nation's forest cover.
Lauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Swacchta Abhiyaan, the CM said, "PM Modi also works for social concerns. Swachhata Abhiyan was started from October 2."
The Chief Minister while communicating directly with the farmers from the stage said, "Our government will fulfill every promise. Our government considers the 8 crore people of the state as its own people."
Earlier on Tuesday, CM Sharma inaugurated, 'CM Employment Festival' and laid the foundation stone for the PM Housing Scheme and various development projects.
During his address, CM Sharma reiterated his commitment to providing 4 lakh government jobs, as previously promised.
"We work for the 8 crore people of Rajasthan. We do not concern ourselves with whether the Vidhan Sabha has MLAs from our party or another. Our government is committed to fulfilling the demands of the people... We promised to provide 4 lakh government jobs in five years, and we will deliver. We also pledged to create 6 lakh private jobs, and I assure you, we will surpass this target," said Sharma. (ANI)
