Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], July 24 (ANI): Reacting to the Union budget 2024-25, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that the revised budget includes schemes and programmes designed to uplift the youth, women, farmers, and the poor of the state.
He stated that the goal is for no area of Rajasthan to remain untouched by the wave of development.
"The public representatives working in their areas are aware of the common problems of the people. The state government is also promptly addressing the development demands of these representatives, and the promises made to the public will be fulfilled," said CM Sharma while addressing a meeting at the Chief Minister's residence on Wednesday.
CM Sharma highlighted that the state government has made remarkable decisions for the welfare of all sections of society. Approximately 45 percent of the promises made in the Sankalp Patra have been fulfilled.
The government has taken public welfare measures such as giving a bonus of Rs 125 on the MSP of wheat, raising it to Rs 2,400 per quintal, and increasing the amount payable under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi from Rs 6,000 to Rs 8,000.
Additionally, there has been a 15 percent increase in social security pensions and a 10 percent increase in the honorarium for Panchayati Raj, urban bodies, and Anganwadi workers.
He assured that similar public welfare decisions will be taken in the future and that every promise made in the Sankalp Patra will be fulfilled.
CM Sharma praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for bringing revolutionary changes to the country since 2014. He commended PM Modi's efforts to spread the message of cleanliness through the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' and to improve the sex ratio with the 'Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao' campaign. PM Modi aims to advance the country economically and socially while raising awareness to preserve the environment.
"Modi ji initiated the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign on Environment Day, June 5, encouraging people to plant a tree in the name of their mother and pledge to take care of it," said CM Sharma.
The Chief Minister mentioned that the budget includes many gifts for the all-around development of Kota, Beawar, and Jaitaran.
In Jaitaran, projects such as the strengthening and widening of roads from Samaukhi to Balada, Prithvipura to Lautoti, Balunda to Kharari, Kalab Khurd to Kanuja, Bootivas to Ras, Nimaj to Chawandiya Kalan, and Kawalia to Anandpur Kalu will be undertaken at a cost of Rs 30 crore.
"Additionally, about Rs 110 crore will be spent connecting the concerned railway stations to a two-lane road on the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor. Projects in Jaitaran include the construction of a 220 KV GSS, the establishment of a Ras-Beawar Community Health Centre, an Assistant Engineer (Mineral) Office, and the upgrade of Nimbaj (Jaitaran) Veterinary Hospital to a first-class facility. In Beawar, a Scheduled Caste Hostel will be opened. In Kota, construction will start on a Green Field Airport, and many other gifts have been allocated, including the Master Plan marking the National Chambal Gharial Sanctuary-Kota as an Eco-Sensitive Zone, a Mahila Police Station in Ramganj Mandi, and the upgradation of Stone Mandi and Stone Cluster," he detailed.
CM Sharma concluded by emphasising that the state government is working on the resolution of Antyodaya by Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay, focusing on the upliftment of the most marginalised individuals. He called on everyone to fulfil their responsibilities and help the needy access the welfare schemes of both the Central and State Governments. (ANI)
