The application has been filed by the daughter of the deceased, who is also the Unnao rape survivor. She has sought enhancement of the 10-year sentence awarded to Sengar and other convicts.

"In Mayurbhanj, around four lakh hectares constitute cultivable land, and out of that, 64% has an assured irrigation facility. During Kharif, with rain-fed irrigation, we cover 100% of the cultivable area, but during Rabi, irrigation drops to about one lakh hectares," he told ANI.

The Delhi High Court has directed the All India Institute of Medical Sciences to constitute a medical board to examine Jaideep Singh Senger, a convict in the Unnao custodial death case, who has sought suspension of his sentence on medical grounds.

The High Court directed the jail superintendent to produce Jaideep Sengar before the Medical Board at AIIMS on Thursday and ensure that "all necessary medical records available with the jail authorities are provided to the Board."

"I promised my father that even though you are no more, I will ensure that we will take these people to the gallows by appealing to the Court. Five more of my father's murderers are still free. The police are also involved in this. The Unnao Administration is also colluding with them in this. I have sent so many appeal but the Unnao Administration has not taken a single action," the victim of the Unnao rape case told ANI.
