Rain expected in districts of Odisha during next 12 hours: Meteorological Centre

Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], Oct. 21 (ANI): Heavy rains are expected in most districts of Odisha during the next 12 hours, according to the Meteorological Centre Bhubaneswar.

The depression in the Bay of Bengal is the main cause of the downpour, which has been wreaking havoc since the last 24 hours.

"Heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of interior Odisha and heavy rainfall at one or two places over districts of coastal Odisha likely to occur during next 24 hours," the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar had issued a warning on October 19.

Torrential rainfall is likely to occur in the Dhenkanal, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jaipur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Angul districts of Odisha.

The Meteorological Centre also advised fishermen to not venture into the sea.(ANI)
