Rahul Gandhi undermines India on international platform: Piyush Goyal

New Delhi [India] September 25 (ANI): Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on Monday said that the Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi is spoiling country's image on the international level.

"The Government of India is relentlessly working in the interests of the poor. Rahul Gandhi has been undermining India during his foreign trips but Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah gave a befitting reply with facts. Amit Shah during the national executive meet said that the Congress believes in dynasty and politics of appeasement. Today India is a growing economy and pro-poor schemes have led to the fact that 60 crore poor feel that they are safe," Goyal said while briefing the media about the BJP National Executive Meeting.

Thirteen Chief Ministers of the BJP ruled states, 1400 legislators, 280 Parliamentarians - in all around 2,500 delegates, are attending the National Executive committee meeting at Delhi's Talkatora Stadium.

He added that Shah has condemned the political violence in Kerala and West Bengal and said that from October 3-October 17, the BJP workers will do a 'padyatra' in Kerala and connect with the people.

"Amit Shah spoke on rural development programmes. He said everyone has a dream of new India which is free of dirt, hunger, corruption and communalism. The work of every BJP?worker is to pursue that dream. He has also appealed everyone to stand by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's agenda of a Clean India," Goyal said.

He added that the BJP chief said that no matter how much the mud of violence is spread, the lotus of the BJP will always be glorified. The election symbol of the BJP is blooming lotus.

"In his speech, Shah appealed all the activists to come together to fulfill the dream of New-India. After 70 years of independence, India is still grappling with several issues. The dream of New India is a dream of 125 crore Indians. India should be rid of communalism and terrorism," Goyal asserted.

He added that India is one country where the President, Prime Minister and vice-president all of them have reached to this point all because of their merit and the BJP will make politics of performance a success.

"BJP will register a historic win in the upcoming Gujarat polls. The politics which Rahul Gandhi wants to give to the country is what we condemn," Goyal said.(ANI)
