Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], November 18 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak has alleged that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and his team are a "group of power-hungry people".
The senior BJP leader also hailed the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"BJP has become the biggest party in the world under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi. India is going to be established as a developed nation under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Today every citizen of India believes that PM Modi has worked to give good leadership to the country. Now the world is acknowledging PM Modi's strength," Brajesh Pathak told ANI on Monday.
Brajesh Pathak also exuded confidence that the BJP will win the assembly polls both in Jharkhand and Maharashtra.
"Rahul Gandhi and his team are a group of power-hungry people... BJP is coming (to power) with a huge majority in Maharashtra and Jharkhand," he said.
The Maharashtra assembly elections are scheduled for November 20. The second phase of polling in Jharkhand will also be held on the same day.
The counting of votes will take place on November 23.
The opposition MVA coalition, comprising Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and the Nationalist Congress Party (SCP), seeks to reclaim power in the state, challenging the Mahayuti alliance, which includes Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Ajit Pawar-led NCP.
In the 2019 Maharashtra assembly elections, the BJP won 105 seats, Shiv Sena secured 56, and Congress 44. In 2014, the BJP won 122 seats, Shiv Sena 63, and Congress 42. (ANI)
