Rahul Gandhi destroying his own credibility: Swamy

New Delhi [India], October 30 (ANI): Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Subramanian Swamy on Monday said Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi is destroying his own credibility by making vile propaganda statements about demonetisation.

"Just by making these void propaganda statements, Mr Rahul Gandhi is destroying his own credibility, what all little is left of it," Swamy said.

His comments came hours after Gandhi described demonetisation as an "out and out disaster" and Goods and Services Tax (GST) as a "torpedo" which destroyed the economy.

Gandhi had said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is yet not able to understand the pain of the nation.

In the response, Swamy reminded Gandhi of BJP's victory in five assembly elections this year.

"How Rahul Gandhi knows what the feeling of the nation is. After demonetisation, the Bharatiya Janata Party formed government in four states- Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur. In UP, the BJP won 75 per cent seats. So where is the question that he know the public's mood," he said.

"If the public was angry, how can the Congress come to zero. Practically, it is the Congress which is out of step," he added. (ANI)
