Rahul corners BJP for adopting 'politics of anger' to win Gujarat polls

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India] Dec. 23 (ANI): Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday continued his tirade against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for winning the Gujarat polls on the basis of the "politics of anger".

Addressing the party workers here, the Congress scion said, "The Congress would not have faced defeat if we had stood united. I accept that we faced defeat in the elections but in actuality, we have won because they (BJP) fought the election on the basis of anger. But we fought on the basis of love and truth."

Rahul also sent a stern message to party workers who have not contributed and gave their best in the elections.

"90 percent people fought together and made efforts with the Congress party in the election but 5-10 percent didn't help the party. Action will be taken against them," he added.

Rahul is on a three-day visit to Gujarat to hold a review meeting with newly-elected MLAs and party workers following assembly election results.

He began his visit by offering prayers at Somnath temple here. (ANI)
