Rafting activities halted in Kullu for two days

The Government has undertaken several initiatives to strengthen the digital ecosystem of the judiciary with the aim of ensuring faster disposal of cases, improving transparency, and enhancing access to justice. These measures are being implemented primarily under the e-Courts Mission Mode Project and through a centrally sponsored scheme that supports State Governments and Union Territories in developing infrastructure for the district and subordinate judiciary.

The Project Elephant Division of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), in collaboration with the Wildlife Institute of India, organized a two-day national workshop on "Policy Implementation for Minimizing Elephant Mortalities on Railway Tracks" at the Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Dehradun, on 10-11 March 2026, according to an official release.

The new train services will collectively benefit millions of passengers across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, and Jharkhand. The occasion will also see the inauguration of three redeveloped Amrit Stations in Kerala and the dedication of the Shoranur-Nilambur Railway Line electrification project to the nation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday unveiled multiple development projects worth around Rs 5,650 crore in Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu and said his government's goal "is to create a developed Tamil Nadu for a developed nation".

Kerala Education Minister V Sivankutty on Wednesday alleged that the Union government has "deliberately excluded" state ministers from the inauguration ceremony of National Highway 66, despite the state contributing around Rs 5,580 crore for land acquisition for the project, among other contributions.

"Cheetahs are rapidly thriving in Madhya Pradesh and the recent birth of five new cubs has further enriched the cheetah family here. The Madhya Pradesh government is going to release Cheetah in the Rani Durgavati Sanctuary (Nauradehi) in about two months too. With this, Madhya Pradesh will have three habitats for the Cheetah," CM Yadav said.

"Good News from Kuno National Park again...Cheetah Jwala has given birth to 5 cubs, marking another major milestone for Project Cheetah. With this, India's cheetah population has crossed the half-century mark, reaching 53. A proud moment for wildlife conservation and a strong testament to the success of India's cheetah reintroduction efforts," CM Yadav said in a post on X.

Jwala, the Namibian Cheetah, gave birth to five cubs on Monday at the Kuno National Park, in Madhya Pradesh's Sheopur district, taking India's Cheetah population to 53, Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav said.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Majlis Park-Maujpur Babarpur Corridor, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the government is taking concrete measures with the support of the Centre to address challenges faced by the city, particularly during the monsoon season when several areas experience severe waterlogging.

Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister visited the GPRA Type-5 quarters in Sarojini Nagar and handed over keys to female allottees.
