Chamoli (Uttarakhand) [India], August 22 (ANI): Purola MLA Durgeshwar Lal met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in Bhararisain on Thursday and expressed his gratitude on behalf of the regional people for recommending strengthening the work of the Mori Netwar Sankri Jakhol Motor Road (State Highway No. 48) of the Mori Block of Uttarkashi district by Hotmix/FDR technology.
Durgeshwar Lal said that the strengthening work of the road would provide great convenience to the local people in commuting.
Further, he said that for a long time, the demand for strengthening work of the said road was being raised by the local people, on which Chief Minister Dhami said that the strengthening would work per public sentiments.
Earlier, in the Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC) meeting held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Dhami in Assembly Gairsain, the recommendation was given to the strengthening work (length 42.15 km) of Mori Netwar Sankri Jakhol Motor Road (State Highway No. 48) of Mori development block of district Uttarkashi by hotmix/FDR technology.
Earlier today, CM Dhami conducted an aerial survey and field inspection and inspected the damage caused by the cloud burst and heavy rains in Ghutu, Panjya, and Devling areas of Ghansali tehsil of the Tehri Garhwal district.
Speaking to reporters, Dhami said that he has instructed the District Adminstration to assess all villages where the incidents took place and directions have been provided to help all the people who have been affected by the calamity.
"A lot of damage has occurred due to the cloudburst and heavy rains. I have instructed the District Adminstration to assess all villages where the incidents took place and directions have been provided to help all the people who have been affected by the calamity," Dhami said.
Further, he added that officials have also been instructed to alert the residents of the village of the occurrence of any such natural calamities beforehand. (ANI)
