Punjab: Interstate Arms smuggling gang busted in Amritsar, 3 held
An interstate arms syndicate gang was busted by the Amritsar police with the arrest of three people, an official statement said on Sunday.

According to the official statement, 11 Pistols, 15 live cartridges and Rs two lakh were recovered from their possession.

The arrested accused were smuggling arms from Madhya Pradesh and supplying them to Punjab, the statement added.
Meanwhile, an FIR has been registered under the Arms and Money Laundering Act.
The police are putting further efforts into unearthing the whole network of the smuggling racket.
