Punjab Governor announces list of awardees for Chief Minister's Police medals

Governor of Punjab Gulab Chand Kataria has announced the names of the Punjab Police officers to be awarded the Chief Minister's Rakshak Padak award and Chief Minister's Medal for Outstanding Devotion to Duty on the occasion of Independence Day-2024.

Chandigarh [India], August 14 (ANI): Governor of Punjab Gulab Chand Kataria has announced the names of the Punjab Police officers to be awarded the Chief Minister's Rakshak Padak award and Chief Minister's Medal for Outstanding Devotion to Duty on the occasion of Independence Day-2024.
"On the recommendations of the Punjab Government, the Governor of Punjab announced the names of the Punjab Police officers/officials, to be awarded the Chief Minister's Rakshak Padak award and Chief Minister's Medal for Outstanding Devotion to Duty on the occasion of Independence Day-2024," as per an Information and public relations department, Punjab press release.
Sub-inspector SHO City Phagwara Amandeep Kumar, Incharge Police Post Industrial Area Phagwara ASI Jasbir Singh and Constable Ranjit Singh at Police Station City Phagwara have been nominated for Chief Minister's Rakshak Padak award.
"Similarly, five PPS officers including commandant 3rd Commando Battalion Jagwinder Singh, DCP Ludhiana Jaskiranjit Singh Teja, AIG Intelligence Swarandeep Singh, AIG Elections Cell Vikas Sabharwal and DSP Vigilance Bureau Hoshiarpur Munish Kumar are among 18 officers/officials, who have been selected for the Chief Minister's Medal for Outstanding Devotion to Duty," as per the release.
The remaining officials include Inspector Sukhwinder Singh, Inspector Paramjit Singh, Inspector Amarjeet Singh, Inspector Navjot Singh Sidhu, Inspector Palwinder Singh, Inspector Jatinder Singh, SI Jagandeep Singh, SI Bhola Nath, ASI Jagdish Singh, ASI Harpreet Kaur, ASI Harjit Singh, ASI Ratan Lal and HC Sukhjit Singh
Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav congratulated the awardees and thanked the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann for recognizing the services of the Punjab Police officers/officials. He said that such recognitions play a significant role in encouraging the Police force to work with more dedication and devotion. (ANI)
