Pune (Maharashtra) [India], Feb. 2 (ANI): A Pune student has emerged as the national topper among girls in the Combined Defence Services (CDS) examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

Pune student tops CDS exam among girls

Pune (Maharashtra) [India], Feb. 2 (ANI): A Pune student has emerged as the national topper among girls in the Combined Defence Services (CDS) examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

Topper Shruti Vinod Shrikhande daughter of Brigadier Vinod Shrikhande, is a law student at ILS, Pune and an alumnus of the Army Public School.

Speaking to ANI, Shruti said, "I'm very happy today that my childhood dream of becoming an Army officer has finally fulfilled. I want to thank my parents and teachers as I have achieved this only because of their help."

The final results of the CDS Examination (I) written examination and interview for entry to the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, were released by the UPSC today on its website upsc.gov.in. (ANI)
