The PoK origin terrorist has been identified as Ali Sozal and the other two as Fardeen Mohibuddin and Manzoor Ahmed Baba, who hailed from Jammu and Kashmir's Tral and Pulwama region respectively.

Three AK 47, two UBGL, eight magazines, five grenades, a pouch attached with a magazine clip, a flag, and some eatables were recovered from their possession.

Meanwhile, Director General of CRPF Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar and other senior officers also paid their last respect to jawan Rajendra Nain, who was killed in the encounter, on the arrival of his mortal remains in New Delhi.

Jawan Pradeep Kumar Panda, who survived the terrorist attack in Nowhatta Chowk in Srinagar on the Independence Day in 2016, was also killed in the encounter. The CRPF is mulling to give him the prestigious gallantry award.

Five jawans lost their lives after terrorists stormed a training centre in Pulwama's Awantipora in the wee hours of Sunday.
