"Providing equal education to everyone is government's priority," says Vikramaditya Singh

Himachal Pradesh Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh on Thursday attended the closing ceremony of the three-day block level under-14 sports competition of students at the Government Senior Secondary School, Okhru in Shimla Rural Assembly Constituency as the chief guest.

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], July 11 (ANI): Himachal Pradesh Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh on Thursday attended the closing ceremony of the three-day block level under-14 sports competition of students at the Government Senior Secondary School, Okhru in Shimla Rural Assembly Constituency as the chief guest.
On this occasion, while congratulating the organisers as well as the winning and runner-up teams of the sports competition, he said that victory and defeat are two aspects of life, so the losing children should not be disappointed, work hard again, and perform well in the upcoming competition and become the winner.
He said that the state government is determined to bring quality to education as well as promote the physical and mental development of children through sports competitions. He said that along with the physical and mental development of children, they are being motivated towards sports competitions and cultural activities to keep them away from addiction so that children can make their bright future by getting a quality education while staying healthy.
The minister said that construction work of various projects and roads worth crores of rupees is going on in the entire state as well as in the Shimla Rural Assembly constituency. He said that no shortage would be allowed in the development of the Shimla Rural Assembly constituency.


While congratulating the school management and villagers for the new school building constructed for Rs 2.5 crore, he said that former Chief Minister Late Virbhadra Singh has made a huge contribution in building the new building of this school. He gave strict instructions to the school management that along with providing quality education to the children, every facility should be made available so that all the children can get merit in the upcoming final examination.
He said that the Education Minister will be talked to about bringing back the teachers who have gone to Shimla or other schools on deputation from Okhru School.
The Cabinet Minister said that to promote the development of the Shimla Rural Assembly constituency, review meetings are held from time to time with the officials of various departments so that along with implementing new schemes for the development of the area, the construction of electricity, water, road, and rural area works can be speeded up. He said that work is being done on Himachal's biggest Galog-Ghandal drinking water scheme worth Rs 105 crore to provide adequate drinking water to the residents of Shimla Rural Assembly constituency including Shimla.
