Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], August 24 (ANI): In a moment brimming with national pride, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed his admiration, lauding Chandrayaan, ISRO, and the entire scientific community for their pivotal roles in accomplishing this feat, following the triumphant landing of ISRO's third lunar endeavor, Chandrayaan-3.
“This is definitely a proud moment for the country, proud of Chandrayaan, ISRO and whole scientists, this achievement happened because of them...", Sinha said on the successful landing of ISRO's third lunar mission Chandrayaan-3.
Celebratory scenes unfolded in Leh Ladakh also as tourists exulted in the triumph of Chandrayaan-3's mission to the Moon.
A tourist in Leh shared their elation, saying that this is amazing news...Many congratulations to India.
He further said, “I am here in Leh and I'm actually looking at the Moon. I've just been told that India has a successful mission to the Moon for the first time. How incredible! Many congratulations to India... Well done India and welcome to the Moon!... We've just heard the fantastic news of Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon. It could not be a more exciting news."
Chandrayaan-3 was launched on July 14, 2023, from Satish Dhawan Space Centre Second Launch Pad in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. The spacecraft’s Vikram lander made the soft landing on the lunar surface on Wednesday. With this mission, India has now joined the US, Russia and China as the only countries to successfully land a spacecraft on the lunar surface. (ANI)
