Priyanka Gandhi extends wishes to people on Lohri

The INDIA bloc leaders have sought a discussion on the reported shortage of LPG amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday criticised Union Home Minister Amit Shah's attack on Rahul Gandhi during his reply to the debate on the opposition resolution for the removal of Speaker Om Birla and said the BJP leader "used an unparliamentary word" but the Chair "did not object to it".

Saying that a debate in Parliament would allow for important public issues to be raised, the Congress leader told reporters, "How much will the public tolerate? The prices have only risen, unemployment is up, look at the LPG situation, just because of their policies and schemes. If a discussion could have happened in the Parliament it would have been good, at the very least could have raised issues of public importance."

MP Priyanka Chaturvedi, while speaking to ANI, said, "The USA kept saying they would take some action against Iran. Two days before the war started, our Prime Minister arrived in Israel. The war first started from Israel's side, and the US supported it."

Congress MPs on Wednesday protested in the Parliament premises over the alleged shortage of commercial LPG cylinder across the country. Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also joined the protest. The Opposition MPs carried the banners saying, "PM is compromised."
