Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], September 28 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai highlighted on Sunday that the prices of farmers' agricultural equipment have decreased due to the GST reforms.
Speaking to reporters, Sai mentioned that the GST reforms have also benefited the dairy sector.
"Our country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi implemented GST in 2017. On August 15, 2025, he stated that he would implement reforms in GST. In just 20 days, he brought reforms. Later on 22nd September, the day Navratri was celebrated, GST reforms were implemented in this country. The four GST slabs were reduced to two slabs. Today, GST has been reduced to two slabs in 18 and 5 slabs. This has benefited both the use of dairy and your business. The use of dairy has become much cheaper. The price of agricultural machinery for farmers has also reduced in all aspects," said Sai.
The Chhattisgarh CM also claimed that the reduced GST prices have benefited all the sections in the country.
"This has benefited all the people of the country. We are continuously going to the markets, to the tractor showrooms. The prices have reduced and people are very happy," added Sai.
Meanwhile, in another part of the country, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami interacted with shopkeepers and the traders in Garhi Cantt Market, Dehradun, as part of a public awareness campaign to promote the adoption of indigenous products and spread information about the new GST rates.
During the visit, Dhami sought suggestions and feedback from the public regarding the new GST slabs and encouraged them to inform others about the reduced GST rates. The Chief Minister stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central government has reduced the GST rates on several essential goods and services, directly benefiting the people. This initiative, launched as the "Next Generation GST," aims not only to provide relief to the public but also to boost trade and stimulate the economy.
Addressing the large gathering, the Uttarakhand Chief Minister emphasised that promoting local and indigenous products is the responsibility of every citizen. "Prioritising Swadeshi products will empower our farmers, artisans, and small traders, while simultaneously strengthening India's economy," CM Dhami said. (ANI)
