Preparations underway at AP Secretariat for President Kovind's visit

Preparations underway at AP Secretariat for President Kovind's visit

Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh) [India], Dec 26 (ANI): Preparations at the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat premises are in full swing, ahead of the visit of President Ram Nath Kovind tomorrow.

Today, security arrangements were done at the Secretariat. Police vehicles also held a test trial.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was also briefed by the officials about the programme arranged for the President. At the Real Time Governance (RTG) State Centre, he reviewed various schemes and public grievances, and directed officials to resolve all the grievances and requests by December 31.

On his visit, President Kovind will first inaugurate centenary meetings of the Indian Economic Association at the Acharya Nagarjuna University, at 10:25 am and then leave for AP Secretariat.

At the Secretariat, the president will be dedicating the Andhra Pradesh Fibre grid project to the nation, a prestigious project initiated by Chief Minister Naidu, which aims to expand nominally-priced high-speed internet facility to 1.45 crore households, 12,198 panchayats and 60,000 schools in the state.

The president will also be given a tour of the RTG State Centre, where the officials will show him a presentation of the government's innovative initiatives like Pulse Survey, Chief Minister Core Dash Board, Comprehensive Financial Management System, e-Pragati, e-Office, Locked House Monitoring System application of state police, surveillance project, facial recognition, media analysis, attendance, air quality forecast, rainfall, temperature, and virtual class rooms.

He will also interact with DWCRA women in the state from the RTG State Centre.

Ahead of the president's visit, Chief Minister Naidu has been directing his officials regarding the preparation and monitoring the progress of the same. (ANI)
